MANA ALISON

Co-Owner
Creative Director

Mana played college basketball from 2000-2004 for LAVC in California and St. Andrews in North Carolina. After college, Mana felt “there was a void”—she started playing in a few recreation leagues and began long distance running. She has ran in two marathons and several triathlons. In 2011, Mana was introduced to flag football and played on two co-ed teams. This ultimately led to her playing tackle football for the California Quake for two years. She played for the Swedish National Football Team at the Women’s World Championship in Finland in 2013. Then, in 2014 Mana joined the Carolina Phoenix, with whom she is now playing her fouth season as a Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. Mana is a 2 time Western All-Star and 2 time Eastern All-Star. She also adds 2015 and 2016 Founders Bowl Champ to her accomplishments with the Carolina Phoenix.

Terah James

Co-Owner
Director of Business Development

Terah started playing sports at the young age of 5yrs old. She fell in Love with Spalding—Terah and Spaulding had a special relationship. Terah earned a full basketball scholarship to North Carolina State University, where she played from 1999 to 2004. After her college career, Terah found football (Carolina Phoenix) in 2009 and fell in love with the pig skin. Clearly Terah and “brown leather” were inseparable.  While playing football, she discovered how women’s sports had yet to evolve—female athletes are not recognized for their talents unless they have sex appeal. During her 7 seasons of playing women's tackle football, Terah has played WR, CB, SS, FS and RB. Some of her accomplishments with the Carolina Phoenix include: 2013 World Champions, 2014 All-Star MVP, and 2012 & 2015 Founders Bowl Champions.
